Whether you are a local or new to the Triangle, we offer a list of our community partners who offer a variety of services and/or resources that support immigrant families.
- Alerta Migratoria: Local, Durham-based organization for undocumented migrants seeking asylum
- Apoyo NC: Community-need driven, rapid response organization that fights wage theft, offers a ally verifier system, in-neighborhood communication system setup, reliable lawyer recommendations, interpretation support and buddy system for appointments
- Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools: Offer access to interpreters, support for ESL students, and other forms of assistance for immigrant families
- Curamericas: provides hope through health to immigrant families, and empowers them to take control of their own health
- El Centro Hispano: Provides education, support, and health care services to more than ten thousand community members
- El Pueblo: Provides know your rights, education, healthcare, and legal information and support for community members
- North Carolina Justice Center: Immigrant & Refugee Rights project provides free legal advice and representation to hundreds of low-income immigrants
- Refugee Support Center: Chapel Hill organization that supports refugees from across the globe through employment, financial literacy, housing, and immigration services, among others
- So Good Pupusas: Local, student-founded and family-run food truck that aims to promote cultural appreciation and higher education through pupusas and scholarships (which are open to undocumented students)
- Pupusas for Education: Providing more undocumented students with scholarships to supplement their first year of higher education, and ultimately, remaining years until graduation.
