The UNC Department of English and Comparative Literature, Latina/o Studies Program, and UndocuCarolina present “Writing Our Own: Storytelling, Immigration, and Hope in an Era of Disillusionment.”

Journalist Jesús Rodríguez and UndocuCarolina’s Jatzyri Perez Garcia and Rubi Franco Quiroz discuss the power of storytelling for communicating the challenges faced by the undocumented in America. How can storytelling be a form of advocacy and liberation? How can sharing our stories foster community and inspire change? Can undocumented dissidents safely tell their stories in today’s climate?
